PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy policy
This policy explains what BuddyLoads ("BuddyLoads", "we") collects when you use buddyloads.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website only, not the dispatch service agreement we send carriers after a call.
LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 2026
What we collect
Information you give us in a form. When you apply for dispatch, ask for a factoring quote or send a message, we collect what the form asks for:
- Your name, mobile phone number and email address.
- About your business: equipment type, number of trucks, whether you run under your own authority, your MC or DOT number, whether the authority is under six months old, and whether your truck needs a CDL.
- For factoring quotes: your monthly invoice volume, whether you factor today and with whom, and what matters most to you.
- For messages: the topic and what you write.
- Your consent to be contacted, and the page you sent the form from.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our servers and security tools receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. If a link brought you here with campaign tags (UTM parameters), we keep them so we know which campaign led to an application.
Information that stays on your device. Some features save your numbers in your own browser so you don't have to type them again: the My Truck profile, calculator inputs and a half-finished form. That data stays in your browser's storage; we don't receive it unless you submit a form.
Why we use it
- To contact you about the dispatch service, factoring quote or message you asked about, by phone, text or email, as you agreed on the form.
- To set up and run dispatch if you become a customer, including preparing carrier packets.
- To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.
- To understand which pages and campaigns are useful, so we can improve the site.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with brokers or other carriers to market to you.
Who we share it with
- Our factoring partner, our factoring partner, but only when you ask for a factoring quote. They use it to prepare and discuss the quote. We may be paid for referrals; see our disclosure.
- Service providers that run parts of the site for us: our email delivery provider (Resend) sends form notifications and confirmation emails; Cloudflare provides hosting security and the Turnstile check that tells people from bots; our analytics provider counts visits.
- Brokers, when you are a customer. Setting up a load requires sending your carrier packet (company name, MC and DOT numbers, insurance certificate, W-9 and similar) to the broker for that load. That happens only for loads you approve.
- When the law requires it, for example to respond to a lawful request, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Partner links to Vertical Identity and TruckClub take you to their own websites. Anything you give them is covered by their privacy policies, not this one.
Cookies and browser storage
- bl_utm: a first-party cookie that remembers campaign tags from the link that brought you here, for 30 days.
- Local and session storage: your My Truck profile, calculator inputs and form progress, kept in your browser only.
- Security check: Cloudflare Turnstile may set what it needs to tell people from bots on our forms.
- Analytics: we use a privacy-focused analytics service that counts visits without advertising cookies.
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time. The site still works without them; you will just need to re-enter your numbers.
Phone calls and texts
If you tick the consent box, we may call or text the number you gave about your request, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or tell us on a call that you don't want further calls.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions as long as we need them to answer your request, provide service if you become a customer, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When we no longer need them, we delete them or keep them in a form that no longer identifies you.
How we protect it
Forms are sent over encrypted connections, and access to lead information is limited to people who need it to contact you or provide service. No method of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Your choices
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- Withdraw consent to calls and texts at any time.
- Clear the data saved in your browser.
Some U.S. states give residents additional rights over their personal information. Contact us and we will respond as the law in your state requires. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request.
Where it is processed
BuddyLoads serves carriers in the United States, and this site is meant for U.S. visitors. Our service providers may store or process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults in the trucking industry. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For questions or requests about your information, contact us at our contact page. See also our terms of use.
