Q01How much does your dispatch cost?
A percentage of the gross on loads you haul: 7% while your MC is under 6 months old, 5% for one truck with 6 months or more of authority, and 4% for two or more trucks on one MC with 6+ months (a limited-time rate). The rate is the same for every equipment type.
Q02Are there setup fees or minimums?
No setup fee, no monthly minimum and no fee on loads you turn down or weeks the truck sits. If you don't haul, you don't pay.
Q03What is the fee charged on?
The gross on the rate con for loads you accept and haul, including accessorials such as detention when they are paid. Your report lists every load and the fee on it, so you can check it against your own rate cons.
Q04When does the new-authority rate change?
Automatically. Once your MC is 6 months old, you move to 5% with one truck or 4% with two or more. You don't need to ask or sign anything new.
Q05How does your fee compare with other dispatchers?
Many owner-operator dispatchers charge around 8-12% of gross, and some charge a flat weekly fee instead. Compare the percentage together with what it is charged on, any setup or minimum fees, who signs the rate con and how you can leave. Our comparison worksheet helps.
Q06Is there a contract?
Yes, a written dispatch agreement, sent before your first load. It is month to month, and either side can end it with 30 days notice.
Loads and control
Q01Who signs the rate confirmation?
You do. We find and negotiate the load, and the broker sends the rate con to your company, in your company name. You sign it or say no. We never accept or sign a load on your behalf.
Q02Do you dispatch small fleets?
Yes. Each truck is planned around its own driver's lanes and home time. With two or more trucks on one MC and 6+ months of authority, the fee is 4% of gross per load, a limited-time rate, with the same no-minimum, month-to-month terms.
Q03Can I turn down a load?
Any load, for any reason, with no penalty. There are no minimum loads and no forced dispatch.
Q04What equipment do you dispatch?
Dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, power only, hotshot, car hauler, dump truck, oversize, hazmat and tanker, and box trucks from 26 ft up. Every type gets the same terms. We don't dispatch cargo vans, sprinter vans or box trucks under 26 ft.
Q05How do you decide which loads to offer me?
From your numbers: your cost per mile, the lowest rate you will run, your lanes and your home days. We look at what the load pays per mile driven, empty miles included, and where it leaves the truck for the next one.
Q06Do you plan my home time?
Yes. Your home base and home days are set on the first call, and the week is planned backward from them, so the last load of the week heads toward home instead of away from it.
Q07What if the best load pays below my floor rate?
We don't bring you loads below your floor without telling you why. Sometimes a lower load is worth it because it moves the truck to a strong market; you see the numbers and decide.
Q08Can you guarantee loads or a weekly income?
No. Nobody controls the freight market, and a dispatcher who promises a weekly figure is selling, not planning. We tell you what each load pays and what it leaves after your costs.

Paperwork and payment
Q01What do you need from me to start?
Your MC and DOT numbers, a certificate of insurance, a signed W-9, your ELD provider, and your notice of assignment if you factor. We use them to set up carrier packets with brokers.
Q02Who pays me for a load?
The broker pays your company, or your factoring company if you factor. Freight payments never pass through us. We bill our fee to you separately.
Q03Do you need my bank or load board logins?
No, and you shouldn't give them to any dispatcher. We never ask for bank, factoring or load board passwords.
Q04What reports do I get?
A list of every load we booked for you, with the rate, miles, accessorials and our fee on each, so you can check every fee against your own rate cons.
Q05Do you handle detention and other accessorials?
We get accessorial terms on the rate con before you sign where we can, and help you document detention and other charges so they can be billed with the load paperwork.
Factoring
Q01Do I have to factor to use your dispatch?
No. Factoring is never required. You can work with us without a factor, with the factor you have now, or with our factoring partner if you ask for a quote.
Q02Who is your factoring partner?
We refer factoring requests to our factoring partner. We may be paid for referrals, and it never changes your rate. Our comparison page places them by the same published terms as other factors.
Q03How much does factoring cost?
Typical freight factoring rates run about 2% to 5% of each invoice, according to DAT, plus any transfer, invoice or minimum fees in the contract. Our factoring rates page has a calculator that adds every fee to one yearly figure.
Q04What is a notice of assignment?
A letter telling a broker that your invoices have been sold to a factor and must be paid to the factor, not to you. It goes to each broker once, usually inside your carrier packet.
Q05Can I use my current factor with your dispatch?
Yes. We add your factor's notice of assignment to your carrier packets, so brokers pay your factor as they do today.
Got your answers?
Two short steps, then a dispatcher calls. You sign every rate con.
